Exactly How to Tell If a Banner Site is Going to Give You Traffic
November 1st, 2009

There is nothing more frustrating then buying banner ads on a site and finding out that the site gives you know traffic! In this article I want to show you exactly how you can tell if the site you want to advertise on has traffic so you can tell how much money you will make off the site.
Secret #1:
The first thing you need to do is make sure the owner of the site shows you a recent screen shot of the traffic stats. You want to know what the unique visitor count is for that site.
Not only that, if you are going to advertise on a sub page, you want to make sure you know what the visitor count is for that sub-page as well. You don't want to know about the "website hits", you want to know about the unique visitors.
Secret #2:
You need to realize that repeat visitors are not good! If you find a site that gets 1000 visitor a day & 800 of those are people coming back everyday, you're going to be in big trouble if you run your ad.
The reason is this – once they see your ad a few times, they will get banner blindness and not even notice it anymore.
Not only that, usually the site owner will try and charge you based on the fact that they are getting 1000 visitors a day.
So make sure you pay attention to these factors and realize that by knowing the numbers and knowing how to read them can make the difference between success or failure in your business.
